72nd REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS
"REPUBLIC DAY" popularly known as "GANATANTRA DIWAS" is celebrated every year on 26 January. India became a republic on 26 January 1950. On 26 January 1950,Constitution of India was implemented in our country. Since then every year on 26 January ,Republic Day is celebrated to honor the Constitution and Republic of our country.
Celebration of this occasion annually helps youth and children of the country to be aware of the significance of Indian Constitution, Unity and Integrity of this great nation and also provides an opportunity to everyone to be patriotic towards their great Nation endowed with rich and varied heritage.
To celebrate the soul of "Republic day" while adhering to COVID-19 protocols, Ministry of Education shall conduct a Quiz Competition,Essay competition and a Patriotic Poetry Competition for school children on mygov.in portal during the period"20th January to 30th January 2021 on the theme "Indian Constitution,Struggle for Freedom and Warriors of Indian Independence.
